IX — Sigma 2.0

1. Water Cooling

  • Sigmaran A is way richer in life than Sigmaran B, and oceans are huge, filling two thirds of the surface, and land is dispersed through islands. It doesn’t have much advanced urbanization, but there are lots of villages.
  • Ed, Zeke and Talia enter a temple underwater, and they awake the Water Titan.

2—11

  • After reaching the coast, Sigmaran’s Survey Corps intervene to help fight the Titan.
  • Josh is introduced, the head scout of the Survey Corps, and he seems to be an exceptionally skilled Miner.
    • He looks like a really cool guy and Ed quickly befriends him.

Pisces

In Greek mythology, Pisces represents the fish into which Aphrodite and her son Eros transformed to escape the monster Typhon. Pisces is a zodiacal constellation in the northern sky, symbolizing two fish connected by a cord. It contains several moderately bright stars and notable deep-sky objects.

  • Carol is revealed to be a recent addition to the Survey Corps.
  • Zeke has a nightmare featuring an unknown monster.
  • During the fight against the Titan, Zeke shows off his Water Energy abilities in his advantage.
  • Talia is dragged underwater by the Titan, and her Fire Energy and Phoenix sign seem hopeless as she’s powerless.
    • As she’s about to drown, Zeke rescues Talia.
  • The Water Titan is tamed and locked back in its temple.
  • Josh and the Survey Corps leave Ed and his friends.
  • Zeke and Talia leave Ed to travel to Zeke’s home planet - Philand.

12. Chasing a Shooting Star

  • Ed randomly walks past Ana, with shorter hair, but they don’t notice nor recognize each other, and Ed’s Kat’Ana starts to glow.

13—15

Ana

  • Nice to meet you, I’m Ana.
  • Ed and Ana reunite, without memories of each other.

16. Déjà Vu

  • Ed and Ana talk about the fact that they’re both from Zetania and that they have lots of stuff in common.
    • Her laugh is quite the déjà vu.
    • Ed thinks Ana fell from the sky.

17. Memory Leaks

  • Ed and Ana lost the memories of each other, but there were lots of events that happened while they were together, so such events in their memories got quite distorted in a way that it all makes sense. For example, they had interactions with the same people, but in their memories, they still had them but separately. There are still some loopholes, though, and if they try to think about those, they get headaches.

18. The Right Person

Ed's dream

  • Even if the mind forgets, the heart will always remember.
  • Ed notices some spark and starts catching feelings for who he doesn’t remember was the love of his life.

19. The Wrong Time

  • Ed theorizes that the spark might be mutual until…
    • He discovers she already has someone - Josh.
    • Ed recognizes that Josh is a great guy and a proper protector, and Ana looks happy.

20—23

  • Josh, Ana, and their group of friends are all scouts of the Survey Corps, where they explore the outskirts of their village to protect it from Bugs.
    • Some of their friends are kinda cocky towards Ed, though.
  • Ana says she had left Zetania to travel to Tauland, but her town got attacked by a hoard of Bugs and she was rescued by Sigmaran’s Survey Corps, from where she met Josh, who took her to his home planet.
  • Ed and Carol talk about their adventures at the Radon Guild which leave Ana and Josh impressed.

Ed

  • We were one for all, and all for one.
  • A hoard of Null Bugs starts attacking the village.
  • Josh saves Ed’s life.

24. Fallen from the Sky

  • Ed, Ana and Josh stare at the night sky as multiple shooting stars cross the sky.
    • A meteor pierces the planet’s atmosphere and seems to land on the ground, so they go after the meteorite.
    • Ed finds the meteorite, but he doesn’t say anything as he stares at Ana excited with the hunt.
    • Ed accepts that Josh is the perfect guy for Ana.

Ed

  • Just because it fell from the sky, doesn’t mean we should pick it up.
  • Ed receives a call from Prof. Sergio, reporting that a mass nullifying event is forecast for the Infinix Major Championship happening on the planet Philand.
    • Josh says he’s going to participate in the tournament.
  • Ed, Ana and Josh head to Philand.
  • Some scouts notice that the Water Titan’s temple is empty, and chains have been broken.
