XIV — Gaia 2.0

1. Reinstalling

  • Jake and Marie meet up with their friends on planet Betaran, that seems to have had taken quite a toll during the Null infestation, so they’re helping rebuilding.

2—5

  • The chip seems to be encrypted, and not even Lisa seems to be able to decrypt it.
  • Lisa seems to have distant lately.

Ed

  • Everything alright?

Lisa

  • Just like it is supposed to.
  • Ed discovers that Lisa is a double agent, but he doesn’t say anything.
  • Lisa starts to lean towards GCC’s side, and XTD is getting suspicious.

Ed

  • You know you can trust me, right?
  • After all, I owe you my life.
  • Lisa is arrested by XTD due to betrayal suspicions.
    • Lynx is introduced - XTD’s chief.

Lynx

  • GCC doesn’t know why Lisa is missing.

6. Ghost

  • A mysterious stealthy woman starts stalking Ed to retrieve his chip.

7—12

  • The mysterious woman is revealed to be part of XTD.
  • The mysterious woman resembles Lisa, and she also rides a motorcycle, but her face is always covered by a helmet.
  • The mysterious woman attacks Ed but Michael steps in so she runs away.

13—22

  • GCC suspects that Lisa might be an XTD member.
  • The mysterious woman ambushes Ed and points him her pistol, until she’s tackled by Lisa, who escaped from XTD’s facility.
  • The mysterious woman rides away in her motorcycle, and she’s pursued by Lisa, with both racing each other.
  • Eventually, they face off in a duel in front of Ed and the others.

23. The Wrong Person

  • Lisa eventually manages to get the woman’s helmet removed, revealing a familiar face - Ana.

Ana

@XTD
  • While she triggers lots of memories for Ed, Ana doesn’t remember anything, and she only sees Ed as her mission.
  • Ana shoots Ed in his shoulder, steals his chip and disappears.

24. The Right Time

  • Time goes back to the Stone Age, where cavemen are seen fighting each other.
  • Lords of Time are seen in the background.
  • Rui is watching the cavemen from afar.

Rui

  • Shouldn’t we step in?

Kronos

  • Don’t worry, they’ll take care of themselves. We’ll step in after. And we will judge them.
  • Kronos seems to have threatened Rui with Infinix’ takeover if he doesn’t help him, for he has a new world to clean up and to conquer.
  • Some cavemen are later seen hunting wolves, and one caveman is killed by an arrow fired by Rui.

Rui

  • Why am I doing this?

Kronos

  • These are the true invasive species of this world, and I want you to clean it up for me.

Rui

  • Why them?

Kronos

  • Conflict is in their nature. No matter how many battles they win, there’s always another one to follow it.
  • Their species has no predators so we must let them tear each other apart. But before they start preying on others, we shall judge them and make them our prey.
  • Rui is siding with wolves, bears and other animals to fight the humans, and even a 5-meter tall Titan made of stone showed up to aid him.
