Fornax is a faint southern constellation introduced in the 18th century by the French astronomer Nicolas-Louis de Lacaille. Its name means “the furnace,” representing a chemical furnace used in scientific experiments, reflecting Lacaille’s theme of naming constellations after scientific instruments. In astronomy, Fornax contains few bright stars but is notable for the Fornax Galaxy Cluster, which includes several well-studied galaxies.
Cancer
In Greek mythology, Cancer represents the giant crab sent by Hera to distract Heracles during his battle with the Hydra. Heracles crushed it, but Hera placed the crab among the stars in recognition of its effort. In astronomy, Cancer is a faint zodiacal constellation in the northern sky, best known for containing the Beehive Cluster (M44), a prominent open star cluster visible to the naked eye under dark skies.
Liam

Pyxis is a faint southern constellation introduced in the 18th century by the French astronomer Nicolas-Louis de Lacaille. Its name means “the compass” (specifically a mariner’s compass), reflecting Lacaille’s practice of naming constellations after scientific and navigational instruments. In astronomy, Pyxis lies near the constellation of Puppis and contains mostly dim stars, with no major mythological associations.
Derek

Pictor is a faint southern constellation introduced in the 18th century by the French astronomer Nicolas-Louis de Lacaille. Its name means “the painter,” originally referring to an easel used for drawing and painting, reflecting Lacaille’s theme of artistic and scientific instruments. In astronomy, Pictor contains relatively dim stars but is notable for hosting Beta Pictoris, a young star surrounded by a well-studied debris disk and exoplanet system.
Capricornus
In Greek mythology, Capricornus represents the sea-goat, a mythical creature with the front half of a goat and the tail of a fish. It is often associated with the god Pan, who transformed into this form while fleeing the monster Typhon. In astronomy, Capricornus is a zodiacal constellation in the southern sky, faint but historically important, with its brightest star being Deneb Algedi.
Torch
Nyx Miner phi#a84e7d19 Shell SignKernel SignEnergyFornaxColumbaFireColumba
Columba is a faint southern constellation introduced in the late 16th century by Dutch navigators Pieter Dirkszoon Keyser and Frederick de Houtman. Its name means “the dove,” and it is often associated with the dove from the story of Noah’s Ark, symbolizing peace and hope. In astronomy, Columba lies near Canis Major and Lepus and contains mostly dim stars, with no major mythological origin beyond its symbolic naming.
- Derek and Torch come from the planet Philand.
- This season’s tournament for Ed’s division is a Raid Battle, where participants must cooperate with each other and fight hordes of Bugs in the A.T.L.E.D.
2—5
- The Raid Battle’s Day One match begins, and the surface starts shrinking, as it should, and everything goes properly. The Bugs are all slain, and participants return to the exterior surface.
- Liam seems to have the Pegasus sign as he’s able to summon one to ride on.
- He becomes Syrox’s rival.
- On Day Two, however, there seems to be fewer Bugs as they are all slain in the first half of the match.
- The shrinking mechanism suddenly stops, and participants seem to be stuck, for nothing is happening.
- Sandbox Mode should allow participants to forfeit but the command for such is locked.
- They try to figure out a way to escape.
- Someone tries to deplete their HP to zero to respawn in the exterior, but instead, they respawn somewhere still in the A.T.L.E.D.
- Carry seems to know a lot about the mechanics behind the A.T.L.E.D.
- He says that the shrinking mechanism uses mechanical tectonic plates that retract neighboring plates to shrink the surface.
- These plates form a Goldberg polyhedron filled with hundreds of hexagonal plates and twelve pentagonal plates, where all plates converge into, and they supposedly contain the main retracting engines.
- The retraction is supposedly automatic, but it can be overridden in the control center, which is on the exterior surface.
- The twelve pentagonal plates are situated underneath the twelve volcanoes of the whole environment.
- The participants try to reach one of the volcanoes.
- PS dives into the volcano while others try to dig from around it, with Masi’s charge creating a tunnel.
- They reach a layer made of steel, and it seems to be the base of a plate, connecting to other plates through mechanical fissures to retract them.
- There seems to be enough space for someone to crawl in, so Carry and Jeco try to lurk below the pentagonal plate.
- Carry and Jeco find the shrinking engine, which seems to be turned off.
- Jeco thinking he can craft something to power it back on, but it seems that Sandbox Model is preventing abilities being used on the engine.
- Jeco and Carry leave the fissure and go back up.
- Voices from some participants are heard, and others follow the voices, and it seems that they were coming from the mockingbirds, mimicking voices they seem to have heard.
- Out of nowhere, everyone starts getting attacked by… other participants?
- Attacks are brutal, and no one knows why they’re happening. HP is being ignored by these attacks but they’re injuring everyone badly.
6. Peer-to-Peer
- Participants aren’t attacking. Enhanced clones are.
7—12
- It seems that Pam is also with them, as she managed to sneak into the A.T.L.E.D., but she’s not a participant so Sandbox Mode is disabled for her.
- Pam starts flirting with Ed and eventually there’s a spark between the two.
- Jeco and Carry manage to craft very powerful bikes with Jeco’s crafting abilities and Carry’s knowledge on Nyx Energy.
13—16
- It’s revealed that the previous season was meant to acquire data on each participant, used to create enhanced clones of themselves to form an army. Now, someone wants to test them against their original counterparts.
- Data was being acquired by the observing mockingbirds.
- Ed and Pam are getting really close.
- The Presenter is behind all the chaos.
17. Mockingbird
- Some participants purpose acting like mockingbirds, analyzing the data of each Miner to study the patterns of the clones.
19—21
- Pam is ambushed by a group of clones and she gets terrified.
22. Friendly Fire
- Ed seems to be arriving to rescue Pam; however, it’s Ed’s clone who shows up.
- Ed’s clone kills Pam.
- Ed arrives too late, but he manages to brutally hit his clone until it dies.
- Miners on the exterior surface (the ones who didn’t get promoted from the previous season) manage to reach the A.T.L.E.D. to rescue the participants.
- Marie rescues Ed.
23. There Can Be Only One
- The clones have been defeated.
- The Presenter says that the “administrators” forced him to do it, and he mentions “Project Nyx Hominini”, but no one knows what he’s talking about.
- The Presenter is later found dead.
- Ed notices an Overseer leaving the site where the body was lying.
24. Delta Wing
- Authorities recommend evacuating from Deltakan to foreign people.
- PS and Lau are recruited by the Delta Wing Interplanetary Force.
- Ed’s friends depart.
- Jeco and Masi travel to Etalia.
- Syrox returns to his home planet - Iotaland.
- Besides those living in Deltakan (Bohr, Kika, Gabi, etc.), Marie and Kate decide to stay to investigate what happened.
- Having gathered enough XP, Ed decides to travel to Alphantia.
- As Ed is about to depart, he’s approached by Torch, who bids farewell to him, and leaves him.
- Out of nowhere, Ed has his Kat’Ana broken, his Nyx Cell broken, his abilities suppressed and he’s kidnapped by mysterious individuals with strange black outfits.
