Project Infinix
XXIV — Infinity
1. System Call
- All televisions, screens and radios broadcast a message to the whole world from Gabi.
Her Majesty, The Queen of Infinix, Gabi
- Peoples of Earth,
- I invite every one of you to take part in a new beginning in a brand-new universe. A universe where borders no longer divide us, where past status and privilege no longer matter, and where we unite behind a single purpose: to move forward - for your own future, and for the future of all humankind.
- Infinix welcomes everyone. No matter your ancestry, your beliefs, your race, or the color of your skin - you belong here. You are part of this journey.
- Soon, portals will open across the world, opening the bridge to step into one of the 24 planets of the Infinix Operating System. This will not be an instant process. It will take time to shelter billions of people. And while we move through this transformation, we must remain calm, compassionate, and strong. We must stay united, stand by our loved ones, protect those who cannot protect themselves, and never lose our humanity - even in the face of an apocalypse.
- Your world will not face this challenge alone. Military forces from Earth and armies of robots are already in action. And soon, they will be joined and strengthened by Nyx Heroes, who will arrive to stand with you and help secure your future.
- Together, we will endure. Together, we will cross through. And together, we will build what comes next.
- The portals between Earth and Infinix are open, and people start to go through.
- Humans on Earth raise their hands performing the ∞ gesture as they welcome Infinix troops who enter Earth through the portals.
- Ed goes through one of the portals and reunites with Ana on Earth.
- Ed apologizes to Lisa and returns Luna to her. Lisa returns his sword to him.
Ed
- I guess I owe you two of my lives now.
Lisa
- How about we just make this one count?
- The Large Dog also decides to stay with Ed to fight with him.
2. Titanomachy
- Humans and Nyx Miners join forces and have a huge epic clash against the Titans on Earth.
- They call this battle “Titanomachy”.
3. Cross-Origin Leaks
- Titans start entering the portals and start invading Infinix.
- Humans’ and Miners’ joint force is extended across both dimensions, all around the world on Earth and on all planets in Infinix.
- While the front on Earth is led by Lisa, the front in Infinix is led by Gabi.
4. Do No Harm
- Rui witnesses everyone getting slaughtered, but he must not intervene, as the Lords of Time do not allow him to face the Titans.
5. Rat in a Trap
- Theo is seen getting cornered by a Titan, until it falls into a trap triggered by someone’s sniper rifle shot and gets destroyed.
Kali
- This sure looks horrible.
Theo
- I was wondering if it could get any worse.
Kali
- Knock it off. I just saved your life.
Theo
- And why would you do that?
Kali
- It’s my peace offering.
- And I need you to trust me, because something bigger than us is at stake.
6. Hungry for a Blast
- Kali doesn’t want Lisa to know her whereabouts, so she tells Theo to keep their partnership a secret.
- She starts fighting alongside Theo, eventually gaining his trust throughout the season.
Kali
- You know about Daemon Ex Machina, don’t you?
Theo
- The “last resort”?
- Where everyone must be sacrificed in order to be saved?
Kali
- There you go.
- My father was the lead scientist on that program.
- Everyone thought he was a madman, but eventually they all agreed.
- With the whole world getting threatened by Nyx Energy, it would be a matter of time until it overpowers nuclear weapons; but there’s still plenty of bombs to get rid of all Infinix servers and all entities it brought to us.
- And guess what? We’re now facing demons hungry for a blast.
- I believe you and Lisa both agree that we could never be able to harness Nyx Energy. Trying to level ourselves to the gods is what brought the Doomsday.
- And sheltering everyone won’t solve what’s wrong with it.
7. Cosmic Hierarchy
- Rui talks to Ed.
Rui
- We were both fooled, for we thought that fighting against Earth would save Infinix. But there’s a cosmic hierarchy that preserves the reality of dimensions.
- The Underworld was dependent on Infinix to exist, and Infinix depends on Earth’s reality to keep running.
- And I really did side with the god of time for Tartarus to take over all dimensions.
8—11
- GCC establishes a plan to save humanity:
- Shelter everyone from Earth on Infinix.
- Save Gabi until she passes the root process to someone else.
- Save Ed so Gaia keeps running for Infinix to keep running.
- A diamond Titan roams Earth, and it seems to be indestructible and unstoppable.
12. Diamonds Are Forever
Gabi's vision
- Rifts are drawn all over Infinix and start ripping everything apart.
- Dead bodies are laid everywhere.
- Kronos shows up with his scythe and talks to Gabi.
Kronos
Your throne will collapse.
- Gabi wakes up and sees Rui.
- The diamond Titan enters Infinix and even Rui’s arrows don’t stand a chance.
- The Titan faces Gabi, and she finds herself in an extremely dangerous situation as it grabs her by the neck. Eventually she manages to turn the Titan into dust by manipulating its matter.
Gabi
- Did you foresee this conflict?
Rui
- All of it.
Gabi
- Couldn’t you have done something? Couldn’t we have done something?
Rui
- It’s inevitable. No matter how many times you rewind, until this day and from the appearance of the very first homo sapiens 300 thousand years ago, Tartarus will keep emerging. That’s the price to pay for the sins of humanity. This is the final judgement.
- Rui tells Gabi that he doesn’t know what will happen in one week from now, but he also tells her to plan on starting a family so Nyx can be passed on. Whoever hosts Nyx is crowned King or Queen of Infinix.
13—14
- Rui tells Ed that GCC’s plan is futile. Earth will inevitably be consumed by Tartarus, and once Ed dies, both Earth and Infinix will collapse.
15. Who Will Save Us Now
- Ed tells Ana that he cannot be saved. The Founder was wrong when he said that Gaia could be inherited through Infinix. Ed or any of his inheritors must exist in the real world.
- The rifts after the Infinity War appeared as a consequence of his and Alpha Ed’s deaths, for Gaia was collapsing without a host. “Storing his conscience” in Orion’s sword wasn’t enough.
- Ana proposes staying with Ed on Earth, so his offspring may inherit Gaia. Ed says that’s futile as Earth will be destroyed. Nothing can stop Doomsday.
Ed
- If only I could go back… if only I had one more chance… to fix everything…
- I just wish we still had time.
16. Breaking the Loop
- Ed discusses with Rui about how time could resolve this conflict, as the former was told that nothing could beat the power of time.
Rui
- It’s quite the thought when people keep wishing that all their problems would be solved by turning back time. I was one of those people. But there’s a reason why time flows the way it does, and why it produces all the results we see. They are all the outputs of a single equation branched off from the very beginning of the universe.
- You know what makes people reconsider their wish to go back? Realizing what it will cost.
- People want to go back to a specific point in time so they can do it all again, “fixing” everything, until they realize that they will lose everything they got from that very point - everything they won, everyone they met, whoever they loved… Because nothing can be taken for granted; everything we’ve earned, everything we’ve achieved, was the output of a very messy and very fragile equation - one that can be easily collapsed and become unrecognizable by a simple flap of a butterfly’s wings.
- Eventually people finally realize the contradictory truth - the truth that they shouldn’t be stuck in the past, which should be left behind, for the real solution lies in the future, in moving on, because the truth is that…time heals.
- Not because it reverts the damage, but because it overcomes it - a flow of pain that must be passed through, but it is the one that will eventually strengthen the wound. That’s the natural one-way flow of time, the flow of growth, and the flow of life. That’s the Arrow of Time.
- Life isn’t what could have been; life is what happens and who you become because of it.
- Maybe the Arrow of Time should not be bent; maybe it should be driven upon, not in the opposite direction, but along the flow, and if driven through its full potential, and if you don’t let it go to waste, you will have all the time in the universe.
- Having heard of Ed’s condition, and after gazing at the High Abyss in the sky, it seems that Lisa has already figured out Ed’s necessary fate and what he will have to sacrifice.
- Rui says that the root of all conflict is up above, in the epicenter of the prison of the Titans, the throne of Kronos - the Ruler of the Titans and god of time; the spaceless, timeless and unpredictable pit where not even time can escape - the High Abyss.
- Lisa approaches Ed.
Ed
- I never really had any chance, did I? At least not in this lifetime.
Lisa
- I never hoped this would be your prophecy.
Ed
- In a system full of branches, constantly rebooting itself to achieve the perfect iteration, it’s now time to finally break the loop.
17. Hundred-Handed Judgment
Rui
- Alright Ed, I don’t want you to violate the Laws of Causality, but I must bend the Arrow of Time one last time.
- Rui decides to join the fight and reverts some of the damage.
- He starts firing Arrows of Time to Titans, moving time backwards, rewinding their actions.
- Time freezes, a rift is open, and Kronos shows up with his scythe.
Kronos
- At last… I hope you’re ready for your judgement.
Rui
- Was this all part of the prophecy?
- Turning Earth into your Abyss?
Kronos
- So, you do recognize this view.
- …
- This was the place I was imprisoned a very long time ago. Left behind in a ruined world, being judged for the sins of the ones I saved, who escaped to another realm.
Rui
- What then? What will be of your empire of Titans? What will be of you when there’s no one else to judge.
Kronos
- Do you really think there will be no one to judge just because everyone is somewhere else?
- They’re only changing the battlefield.
- She was right. Eventually they’ll start killing each other again, and only one will stand at the end of it all.
- It’s like you said, it’s inevitable. No one can break the loop.
Rui
- You’ll be the one to judge them?
Kronos
- The loop must continue, so now it’s time for another iteration to take my place.
- Rui challenges Kronos to a duel.
Kronos
- Let’s not waste time on ceremonies. We both know how this is going to end.
Rui
- Oh, I have plenty of time to waste.
- An epic time-wrapping clash happens between the two - dozens of raining arrows, wolves howling, concrete getting destroyed and rematerialized, entropy going back and forth, disorder vs reorder.
- Rui is killed by Kronos.
- A rift opens and a hundred arms coming out of it brutally rip and pull parts of Rui’s body into it.
Hecatoncheires in Tartarus
In Greek mythology, the Hecatoncheires, feared even by the Titans, were imprisoned in Tartarus by Uranus and later again by Kronos. During the Titanomachy, they were freed by Zeus, and in gratitude they fought on the side of the Olympians, hurling massive boulders that helped secure Zeus’s victory. After the war, they returned to Tartarus as its guardians, ensuring the defeated Titans remained imprisoned in the deepest abyss of the cosmos.
18. What Is Worth Fighting For
- Ed proposes traveling to the High Abyss in the sky and taking advantage of the time dilation near and past the event horizon to prolong his life until the end of time.
- If Ed lives forever, so will Gaia, and so will Infinix.
- This scares Ana as Ed is talking about sacrificing his life.
Ed
- Ana, you were right. Earth never really was my habitat, but neither was Infinix.
- And I always knew that Infinix was never a home you felt like living either; I know you think you won’t be welcome there; but the truth is…
- Humanity will prosper because of you, and so will Infinix.
- It’s true that we’ve always had our conflicts, because we both have always fought for what we thought was right. And your side has always been the side of compassion.
- The only thing that I knew was worth fighting for was you. And you… you were fighting for everyone.
- You showed me that no matter what, we always have to follow our hearts. I was told and convinced that Infinix was the true salvation of humanity, including you, specially you, and I still believe it is, and you never directly opposed this view of mine, as long as no one’s lives were at risk, and in your heart, everyone’s lives were worth fighting for, even if they were opposing you, even if it cost your life.
- Humanity will endure because of you. You were protecting them, and I didn’t want to listen to you before, but the people of Infinix did, and because of your compassion, you became the bridge of salvation between the two systems.
- Because of you, peoples of both Earth and Infinix are now fighting, not as enemies, not as different systems, but as one united people, people that will prosper, people with different origins, but with the same destination, endured by hope, endured by compassion, and endured by love.
- I wanted you more than anything, but fate has its schedules, keeping us apart by ideologies, beliefs, conflicts, and wars.
- Timing was never quite there, I guess… But we’re not really supposed to go back.
- In a world where demons rise from the ground, the skies have sent angels like you.
- But just because something falls from the sky, doesn’t mean we should pick it up; maybe it should be left to bloom on its own, claimed by nature, where it belongs. After all, all hearts turn to dirt.
- This reality is my responsibility, so I must accept my fate, and you must accept yours. We all have our role in the universe, a story of our own to follow and to fulfil.
19. T-Minus Infinity
- Lisa approaches Ed.
Ed
- Have you ever been so unsure of something, that it might be your worst idea ever?
- An idea with a very little chance of success, and if it fails, you will lose everything, but it’s the only idea that you believe in, so you have to go all-in.
Lisa
- What if it works?
Ed
- If it works, we will all be saved.
- It really is a leap of faith after all.
Lisa
- You sure you wanna do this?
Ed
- Not really, but I can’t let what I want ruin what I have.
- And you know I have no choice.
Lisa
- I know. You always had your own world to live in - a higher dimension.
Ed
- Following our dreams sometimes takes quite the toll, and we might even have to sacrifice everything to achieve them.
Lisa
- But will you be able to sleep?
Ed
- The biggest dreams are meant to be lived while we’re awake. That’s how we truly make them lucid, so we can be free to dream whatever we want, so we can end our nightmares once and for all.
- Lisa, only you can free yourself. Don’t let others live your dreams for you.
- Lisa pauses for a moment of thought.
Lisa
- You know? They kept wondering when you’d come back home.
Ed
- I guess loyalty is their strongest ability, so they’ll never give up on us.
- Whatever happens, they’ll always be there to fight for us.
- Whether they’re in the opposite side of the world, or not even in this universe, that’s where they’ll be waiting for us…
- Waiting for us to come home.
Ed
- But I’m glad Luna gave you wings when you needed the most. Birds really aren’t meant to be caged.
Lisa
- And you, are you ready for an eternity of loneliness?
Ed
- Don’t worry, I won’t be alone. I’ll be among countless stars, just where I belong.
- So never stop looking up, Lisa, keep shooting for the stars and never stop looking out for me, as I’ll be watching over you.
- Take care of Luna and keep flapping your wings. If you need me, just wish upon a shooting star.
- Alarms sound as Titans enter the Theta data center on Mount Olympus.
- The Infinix main server must be secured by GCC before the Titans find it.
Lisa
- Alright, everyone, as we prepare Ed for a flight to the heavens, we still have some demons to fight in hell.
- Lisa asks for an army of robots on Olympus’s surface to block the access of more Titans to the facility. She also asks Theo to prepare her safe passage for the nearest portal, a few kilometers away from the facility.
- She says that she has a plan to seal the server forever, so portals should start closing immediately once she approaches them.
- Ana wants to go with her, but Lisa says she must stay.
Lisa
- People need you here on the surface so they can cross safely; this is a dive I must do alone. And Luna seems amped up, so I guess she’s ready for the ride of our lives.
- It’s like the dreamer said - we all have our roles to fulfil.
- You guys get to the portals safely; I’ll meet you soon.
- Ed bids farewell to Ana.
Ed
- This is what becomes of us.
- I’ll see you in the next life.
20. Dream On!
- Ed is headed to a launch site with a spaceship that will ascend him to the heavens.
- The Large Dog decides to follow him.
- As Gabi keeps leading the defense on Infinix who are guaranteeing her safety, Earth forces are split into three fronts - keep securing the crossing of portals all over the world, escorting Ed to the launch site, and clearing the path for Lisa’s final mission.
- As Lisa prepares to liftoff with Luna, she looks at a kid from afar raising the ∞ hands gesture aiming at her.
Lisa
- So, this is my prophecy. Time to face this nightmare once and for all.
- Lisa paints a ∞ symbol in her outfit, raises her hands performing the same gesture, and shouts her battle cry.
Lisa
- Dream on!
- Lisa rides Luna towards the facility at Mount Olympus; however, the underground corridor is infested with fierce Titans that are also looking for the server.
- Ed approaches the site whose spaceship starts getting visible from afar.
Ed
- I tried really hard, to go my own way without looking back.
- I started walking and the truth is… I’m not feeling lonely.
- There is no sadness here. I’m not alone.
- You’re still here with me… somewhere… I can feel it.
- I promise - nothing will ever tear us apart.
- Among countless stars, the person I met… was you.
- And I will stay by your side, as your guiding light in the dark.
- Endless days… upon endless nights.
- We are eternal.
21. The Olympian Goddess
- Lisa notices that the Small Dog managed to sneak in the trip in a bag she had attached onto Luna.
- Lisa straps the Small Dog onto her backpack.
- Lisa, Luna and the Small Dog have quite the turbulent flight in a race against time in a narrow and extremely long mazy path where they must dodge hundreds of Titans raining down hellfire, attacking from all sides.
- Lisa notices Titans scratching the amethyst cluster protecting the server, but it seems that Gabi is the one holding it together, although struggling.
- Luna sets the cluster ablaze with her fire, fading the purple color into green and then cracking it open.
- The server is removed from the main part of the cluster, but it’s still shelled by crystals; however, it can now be carried away from the core.
- As they fly away upon securing the server, the facility starts collapsing as the wormhole matter starts getting distanced from its source.
- Lisa wants to push the server to a portal connected to Infinix to seal it in a recursive paradox.
- If Infinix gets isolated and unreachable from Earth, why would Earth and Ed still need to be saved?
- Lower dimensions will always be dependent on higher dimensions, so Infinix would still be dependent on the real world and Ed’s conscience to exist.
- If Infinix gets isolated and unreachable from Earth, why would Earth and Ed still need to be saved?
- Lisa tells Theo through her communicator that she has a plan to seal the server away from the Titans.
Theo
- How can you be so sure that will work?
Lisa
- I can’t. It’s a leap of faith.
22. Love and War
- Ana still thinks she might not be welcome at Infinix, so she doesn’t step into a portal.
- Ana notices that Tartarus feeds on conflict, and she’s told by the Oracle that there’s only one way to beat conflict - with love.
- It seemed that Ed and Ana always getting separated was because of fate, but it always happened because of some grand conflict. Maybe it’s time for love to fight back, to fight the grandest conflict of them all.
The Oracle
- Love stacks all layers, binds all systems, brings all dimensions together, unites all peoples, and pulls all entities into the singularity; it is the source of all life in the cosmos, the will to live of all beings, and the biggest force of attraction in the universe - stronger that gravity, stronger than electromagnetism, stronger than dark energy, stronger than any type of energy. Love is the one true cosmic force, and so are you.
- Ed, Earth, Infinix, and the whole multiverse are dependent on you, Ana, for you’re the highest dimension of them all.
- Ed’s habitat was never Earth, and neither was Infinix. It was you; you are his habitat.
- You two embody the two primordial forces needed for a living cosmos to exist. Gaia is the foundation of life, and you… you are its generational engine - the unmovable object meeting an unstoppable force.
- Even if your bodies keep bleeding out, even if your souls keep dematerializing, and even if your minds keep forgetting, your hearts will never stop beating. In this universe or the one beyond us, in this lifetime or the next one, no matter how many times both of you have to die. You two are cosmically bound, and not even death could tear you apart.
- The Oracle steps into a portal, as she bids farewell to Ana.
- The last portals are closing, and Lisa, Luna and the Small Dog are about to get in. Lisa still fears getting into the system, so she flinches a bit, but everything is going to be alright, because it is supposed to.
- Theo is seen on the other side of the portal, waiting for them, but then Kali shows up and points her gun at Lisa, right as she’s about to complete her ultimate leap of faith. Then, a gunshot is heard.
23. Leap of Faith
- Lisa is shot so she falls, and while Luna and the server successfully enter the portal, Lisa and the Small Dog stay behind as it closes.
- Kali is killed by Theo.
- As sealing the server made Infinix completely unreachable from Earth, Lisa is trapped and can’t establish any connection or communication. Portals can’t be recreated from Infinix without a reachable location.
- Lisa is the last person standing in a world infested with Titans, as other humans are either at Infinix, or have been trampled.
- She’s seen wandering in an apocalyptic city, still with her gun and the Small Dog to defend herself from some Titans she encounters. She manages to escape some ambushes, and she’s seen gathering supplies and whatever she needs to survive.
- She eventually reaches GCC’s original safe house in Gaia City, where she finds her motorcycle, unused since she had become a dragon rider.
- She also finds her debugger, with the mysterious fifth channel graph flickering intensely.
- Lisa notices on a radar that there’s a huge group of Titans heading towards the launch site that will take Ed’s spaceship to space, then she looks at a board with notes regarding Daemon Ex Machina and smirks.
- The end credits role while Lisa rides away with her motorcycle, free as a bird, while Titans start chasing her, with a background filled with a spectacle of huge nuclear fireworks, featuring thousands of nuclear explosions in the sky.
- Lisa is the silent hero who sacrificed herself to secure the very system she opposed.
Post-credits
- As Lisa keeps riding, she sees lots of Lords of Time everywhere observing her.
- Kronos intercepts Lisa, the camera starts glitching out, then it crashes.
Critical Error
- Missing patch infinity_FR-24: “Infinite Loop” - system crash.
24. Eros
- Ed and the Large Dog have lots of Titans to deal with in the spaceship launch site facility, until someone shows up to give them a hand - Ana.
- Ana decides to stay with Ed, to follow him towards the High Abyss.
- They notice on a radar that they’re surrounded by hundreds of Titans, so they prepare for a final fight against them.
- As they reach a dead-end with no hope to fight back, standing between the Titans and the spaceship that is about to be destroyed, Ed, disarmed, holds Ana’s hand.
Ed
- Who will save us now?
- They look up and notice lots of missiles flying and exploding in the sky.
- Their radar shows thousands of nuclear warheads being launched all over the world, luring lots of Titans. It seems that Daemon Ex Machina got executed, as every single operational ICBM silo and SLBM submarines initiated the launch of their missiles.
- Titans start leaving the two of them and march towards the explosions.
- Ed and Ana wonder who managed to launch this strike that saved their lives.
- They pack their stuff and get in the spaceship, along with the Large Dog, to board a one-way journey of days for their clocks, but towards eternity in everyone else’s clocks.
- Only two billion people from Earth successfully managed to enter and survive at Infinix, with Titans claiming a devastating 76% of Earth’s lives and 6% of Infinix’.
Ending theme: "David Chappell - Who Will Save Us Now"
- 0:00 - spaceship liftoff sequence boarding Ed, Ana and the Large Dog, with some Titans trying to grab onto it but eventually falling; some are seen flying towards the huge nuclear fireworks in the sky.
- 1:20 [music tones down] - they look through the windows and talk to each other about their journey.
Ed
- That was quite a show.
Ana
- It really is a breathtaking view.
Ed
- Why did you decide to stay?
Ana
- No one can save the universe alone.
- Gaia cannot survive without an engine.
- And life cannot prosper without a force of attraction.
Ed
- We can’t prosper if we leave everything behind.
Ana
- Yet we’re willing to sacrifice everything, so that everyone else can prosper.
Ed
- But you don’t have to. There’s no going back from here.
Ana
- It took me a while to realize what my true role in the universe really is.
- Myths placed him into the primordial gods, becoming one of the first foundations of the cosmos. Some placed him even before Earth had come to existence; and some say he came from the Cosmic Egg, hatching with glittering golden wings, swift as the whirlwinds of the tempest - the first-born of the cosmos and first ruler of the universe.
- As he came to be, he became the god of love, attraction and desire, with the power to inspire passion and affection in gods and mortals alike.
Ed
- What about us?
Ana
- We are the proof of inevitability, of fate.
- No matter how many times we try to push each other apart, a bigger force of attraction will pull us back in, a force that no one can really understand.
- I’m here because I’m following my heart, and because we need each other, for the cosmos depends on our bond to exist. Our hearts have aligned and converged into this very moment, pulling us towards the singularity, to the place where there’s only you, me and the stars. This is our true role in the universe - to be together.
- That’s where my heart belongs; that’s where it can bloom, not to be claimed by nature, but to be claimed by you.
Ed
- What about them? Will they be saved?
- 2:55 [music tones up] - Earth is getting further; the camera shows what’s happening at Infinix over time, sped up relatively to Ed and Ana’s dilated time, featuring everyone they’ve met, some burial places of lost ones, people from Earth adapting, and Gabi holding her newborn baby, while Ana keeps talking/narrating.
Ana
- We paved their way into salvation, so for the time being, they should prosper.
- It will take time to adapt. Wounds will be healed and lives will be rebuilt.
- People will learn how to coexist, and as they mourn their loved ones, new bonds will be forged, paving their way to new generations to come.
- In a new universe, they’ll unlock abilities they’ve only dreamed of having, and they’ll become stronger than they could ever imagine.
- The same people who are now sheltered are the ones who made sure we would part in this journey and fulfil our roles, and for the ones who fought for humanity to prosper, and especially for those who sacrificed their own lives for it, we must stay sure that the system will keep running.
- But that doesn’t mean it will always be peaceful. Hopefully people have learned the cost of conflict, and that it’s in union and compassion that people must follow the right path.
- As long as humanity lives as one, they will prove that arms don’t have to be borne, and war doesn’t have to be waged.
- Weapons shall be watering tools.
- Bullets shall be flower seeds.
- Battlefields shall be blooming gardens.
- And corpses shall be flourishing trees.
- Men shall no longer fight for power, nor to kill each other. They shall fight for each other and for the ones they love, not to destroy, but to build, so new generations shall come, so new generations shall live on… for all eternity.
- 4:05 [music tones down again] - the camera shows Earth, featuring Lisa, alone, with a black cloak, riding her motorcycle towards the sunset in a ruined world trampled by Titans. Months have passed, relatively.
Ana
- We made it here because of the people who fought for us, and as they thrive in a brand-new world, they will see us as their guiding light in the sky, as we ascend to the heavens to make sure their dreams live on.
- But dreams sometimes take quite the toll, and so does love and our capacity to care and fight for our loved ones. Because if we’re willing to love, we’re willing to suffer. Maybe it really is a force that no one will ever understand, but it sure is the one that must power the whole universe, because it sure can transcend everything.
- Lisa looks at the sky, towards the High Abyss, with a smile of hope.
Ana
- Maybe love bends space.
- Maybe love outlasts time.
- Maybe love bridges dimensions.
- Maybe love overpowers conflict.
- The camera transitions back to Ed and Ana, approaching the event horizon.
Ana
- Maybe love transcends… infinity.
- 4:35 [climax] - the event horizon is crossed, the camera moves gradually but rapidly back to Earth, sunsets are speedup, sea levels rise, buildings are claimed by nature, tectonic plates move.
- Hundreds of millions of years have passed.
- 5:20 [second climax] - camera to the Sun, which expands into a red giant and swallows Earth, then to outer solar system, Milkdromeda formed, galaxies colliding, stars going supernova, black holes forming.
- Trillions of years have passed.
- 5:55-6:21 [toned down] - heat death of the universe, pitch-black; the camera goes back to Ed and Ana, diving towards the singularity, two white silhouettes of light holding hands in a pitch-black background.
- Terminating Gaia branch, final release.
