1. Assembly
- Prof. Sergio, Kate and Marie call the best Miners to represent Zetania in the 6v6 Infinix Major Championship.
- Kate finds Jeco and Masi in Etalia, where they’ve been participating in tournaments.
- Marie finds PS in Omicronis, on a mission for the Delta Wing Interplanetary Force.
- Prof. Sergio travels to a remote village in Rhodia.
2. Remote Access
- Prof. Sergio finds Jake taking care of a family.
- The village is attacked by Null Corp., and Jake’s family is killed.
- Prof. Sergio helps Jake reinforcing the village’s security, and they make peace with each other.
- Jake agrees to join the tournament so he can avenge his village.
- Before leaving Rhodia, Jake is intercepted by Annie, who finally finds him.
3. Old Business
- Annie wants to kill Jake, and they both have a duel, eventually interrupted by Prof. Sergio, telling them that another wave of Null Bugs is attacking the village.
- Annie notices Jake giving it all to protect the inhabitants of the village, especially risking his life to save the children.
- Jake is about to get killed but Annie saves his life.
- Annie forgives Jake.
- Jake questions his choice of leaving Rhodia as it’s still vulnerable, but Annie proved herself to be able to defend it, so she convinces him to leave and to let her take care of the village.
4—12
- Ed seems to have already arrived in Philand.
- Philand is a highly technologically advanced planet with lots of cities surrounded by forests.
- Ed is approached by a lion with fire abilities, challenging him to a duel.
- Ed recognizes that the lion is Jake, and they have a friendly duel to test each other’s strengths.
- Most of Ed’s friends recognize Ana, and both Ed and Ana are surprised that they have lots of common friends.
- Jake talks to Ana.
Jake
- It’s been a while.
Ana
- It sure has.
- I see you and Ed were friends in Zetania. How come I never got to meet him?
Jake
- That’s a great question.
- Ed talks to Jake.
Ed
- If I want her to be happy more than anything, why does it hurt to see her happy with someone else? Am I really that selfish?
Jake
- Of course it hurts. You just want to be the reason why she’s happy.
Ed
- What do you mean?
Jake
- What I mean, is that you either make it about her, or you make it about you.
- The truth is that you wanted her happiness and you wanted to share it. You wanted to wake up beside her, make her laugh, build something with her. You lost all of that. Why wouldn’t that hurt?
Ed
- I can’t live with that.
Jake
- You’re pathetic.
- Let me guess, you’re hoping for her relationship to fail so you can have a chance?
- You want her to be less happy with him so you feel better about yourself?
- Do you really want to resent her for choosing what’s best for her?
Ed
- I’ve been having some weird nightmares. I feel like I either did or will do some terrible things to her.
- Maybe just because I feel like she’s the perfect woman for me, I might not be the perfect man for her.
Jake
- Stop treating your pain like evidence of moral failure.
- I’ll be honest with you. I’m not a huge fan of Josh, nor do I know if her happiness is guaranteed.
- And people in love are really unpredictable, and they can’t really be understood. So there’s a question you must ask yourself — one you will never be sure if you know or if there is a right answer.
Ed
- And what is that?
Jake
- Is she worth fighting for?
13—15
- The Infinix Major Championship commences, featuring 24 teams competing in a single elimination ruleset, featuring:
- Team Deltakan: Bohr, Kika, Mona, Mike, Carry, Liam.
- Team Epsilonis: Lau, Nando, Joe, three other Miners.
- Team Zetania: Ed, Jake, PS, Kate, Jeco, Masi.
- Team Iotaland: Syrox, five other Miners.
- Team Sigmaran: Josh, Carol, four other Miners, including fellow Survey Corps scouts.
- Host Team Philand.
- All teams have a total of six members each, but the playoff round and round of 16 are 3v3.
- Ed and his friends wonder where and when the nullifying event is about to hit.
- Quarterfinals are 4v4.
16. Brothers in Arms
- Epsilonis and Zetania face off in the quarterfinals.
- Epsilonis: Lau, Nando, Joe and another member.
- Zetania: PS, Kate, Jeco, Masi.
- Zetania wins the match.
17. Climbing the Sky
- Deltakan and Iotaland face off in the quarterfinals.
- Deltakan: Bohr, Mona, Mike and Liam.
- Iotaland: Syrox and three others.
- Deltakan wins the match.
18. Metastasizing
- After observing Philand’s quarterfinals match, Ed and his friends notice that their Miners seem to be way too violent, resembling what Ed witnessed during the Rooster Tournament back in Zetania, and they discover that the whole team is corrupted with Null Energy.
- They discover that, although a Miner from Philand’s adversary team was knocked out and teleported away from the arena, he was actually killed.
- Lupus seems to be commanding the Philand team.
19. Heartfelt Battle
- Zetania and Sigmaran are set to face off in the semifinals.
- Ed doesn’t want to fight Josh because of Ana.
- Josh tries to convince him to participate in the match.
- Marie realizes that, as painful as it may be, Ed shouldn’t give up on Ana, so she talks to Ed and succeeds on convincing him to participate.
- The match begins:
- Zetania: Ed, Jake, Kate, Jeco.
- Sigmaran: Josh, Carol and two others.
- Marie notices Ana excited with the match and the former finally makes peace with her situation regarding Ed, for she acknowledges that Ed’s and Ana’s connection can’t and shouldn’t be competed with.
20. May the Best Man Win
- Zetania vs Sigmaran continues.
- Ed and Josh face off and the latter is about to get knocked out, until Ed notices Ana worried in the audience, leaving him off guard.
- Josh knocks Ed out.
- Jake deals the final blow against Josh, granting Zetania access to the finals.
21. Joining the Dark Side
- Deltakan and Philand face off in the semifinals.
- Deltakan: Bohr, Kika, Carry, Liam.
- Philand: Derek and three others.
- Corrupted Derek is revealed to be the fifth member of Philand’s roster, but the sixth hasn’t been revealed yet.

- Derek isn’t pulling his punches against his old friends until Lupus orders him to calm down.
- Philand wins the match and leaves Deltakan’s team badly injured, with their friends from Zetania promising revenge in the finals.
22. Crossing Paths
- Zetania and Philand face off in the finals.
- The round is 6v6, featuring the whole roster of each team, with the sixth member of Philand being finally revealed - X, chained to the Water Titan, which has been nullified.
- It’s revealed that X is now a dual katanas wielder. Just like Ed, he upgraded his bo staffs.
23. Breaking the Chain
- The final match continues. Everyone but Ed, X and the Water Titan gets knocked out.
24. Stack Overflow
- Ed and X’s duel is interrupted by portal storms with Null Monsters and dark fog coming out of portals in the sky happening on every planet, and obsidian towers and structures coming out of portals in the ground, forming fortresses.
- Ed and his crew fly towards the Citadel’s tower where Lupus is in, and while Ed manages to get in, the others get locked out.
- Ed tries to hit Lupus with his Kat’Ana but it gets blocked.
- Lupus imprisons Ed and activates a universal shutdown of all Nyx Cells, making everyone, except for Null entities, unable to cast their abilities.
